- Matthew
Halls (Music Director) was
Assistant Organist at New College and Director of Music at the University
Church before playing as harpsichordist with the European Union Baroque
Orchestra in 1998. Since then he has played with many of Europe’s leading
period instrument ensembles, working with Tom Koopman and the Amsterdam
Baroque Orchestra, Sir John Eliot Gardiner and the English Baroque Soloists
and the King’s Consort. He recently joined the acclaimed ensemble,
Sonnerie, with whom he has already appeared at the Wigmore Hall. Matthew is
also active as a conductor and is currently assistant musical director of
New Chamber Opera.
